residency, and our BLOCK PARTY at a local Späti a little while back we are putting together a Späti Art Walk program.

Bringing together local and international artists and connecting them to local corner shops, we are taking a month to develop different art activations throughout the city of Berlin. This is our first time doing this, so we’re excited and curious to see how things go. It will be different from a full blown residency since we aren’t organising housing and studio spaces (though we can help you with finding those), and we want to do something as a creative collective this summer that brings together culture, community, and helps a bit of local economics. Zaki Hagins

Zaki has made one of our recent favourites posts on our community site. Zaki is an African American performer, composer, and DJ originally from Philadelphia, now based in Berlin. With a background in contemporary classical composition and operatic training, he blends live-looping viola with soulful vocals to create his own brand of experimental pop. He released his debut single "Younger" in December 2022. Zaki regularly performs with The String Archestra and House of Living Colors.
