Hey CounterCulter! Sho here (for those of you that don’t know, I started CounterCult based on my own experiences as a painter, and realized a lot of creative people have the same problems).
We have news as usual- this time some GOOD news. It was a busy time since the last edition with 48 hour Neukölln art festival, gallery openings, Fashion week, and even a free Pussy Riot show.
Now let’s get short and to the point, so here you go:
UPDATES
🎨📸🤝We are really starting to match local creatives to clients! One of our lastest match was Ana Photography for FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) Berlin, and Zeyneb and Denizen where she had her first art show featuring her paintings! We are trying to find funds to develop a platform that helps us with this on a larger scale, so we can all find more gigs and clients can find more creatives, but alas, it is taking time (after all, I am a painter and we are learning as we go). If you have any advice, we would love to hear it!
🎨🍸🎶Art Bar CounterCult x Pennyshort. Join us for our next event this CSD month: Queer Art Bar, open and free to all! Explore a mini market featuring local queer creatives selling their goods, followed by a block party vibe. This is our pilot event—if successful, we'll expand globally! Check out the Events section for more details.
🤝✨🚀Bigger things coming. This past week we’ve met with amazing community leaders like Bruna from

July 19th, 1600 until late. Roll up with all your queer friends and allies! (Don’t forget cash too if you want to buy some pieces from local creatives). We have creatives selling prints, fashion, nail art, paintings, and even flash tattoos!
You don’t technically need a ticket, but we recommend getting one so you get reminded and we can have a general head count.

Join us on July 18th for an exclusive event featuring queer founders like the founder from Quouch, founder from Queer Next, and from recruitment agency AvoMind.
The event includes panel discussions on imposter syndrome and financials, with limited capacity for meaningful networking.
