I was always bad at writing and reading, but here’s why I made this newsletter anyway
CounterCult Creatives thoughts on creative business, opportunities, and curated events.
Welcome CounterCulter- our newsletter is a “skip to what you want” type of newsletter so here you go!
So why did I (Sho) start a newsletter if I have been notoriously bad at reading and writing (which funnily enough is a huge part of myself that led to me being a visual artist).
Well, it’s because I realized there’s not much real information for the normal people on how to actually survive as a creative, and a newsletter was one of the answers for us to connect our community to opportunities and other information that we ourselves would take. Sometimes it feels like writing out into the void, so let us know what you think of our little newsletter!
THE MORE WE GROW, THE BETTER OPPORTUNITIES WE GET ACCESS TO AS A COMMUNITY
UPDATES:
COUNTERCULT MARKET Launch (IRL and A PLATFORM!!!!!)
We are SUPER sweaty and tired from w
orking behind the scenes to give local creatives more paid opportunities. SO! We are launching our very own booking platform, created by our own community, to offer a place where anyone can find niche, local creatives near them, as well as monetise on what they do. And ofc it’s FREE because we are all broke artists.
The launch party of our online market, will ironically enough be a IRL Market in Berlin (think the traditional holiday markets that are big here, but COUNTERCULT MARKET that gives a space for more underground creations)
CounterCult Ambassadors Program Launch! Free obvs.
Thank you to all who have reached out to volunteer, it means A LOT. We’re launching a CounterCult Ambassador program where we show you how to create a local creative community focused on business anywhere you are based! It’s important for us to make what we do accessible to anyone that needs this, so really, don’t be a stranger! We didn’t reinvent the wheel, be we found something that works, and love to share how you can do it too!
